Summer is the color of yellow. So, to get the students acquainted with yellow color Amarjyoti Saraswati International School Pre-Primary section celebrated the “Sunny Sun Flower Day” on 20th June, 2015.
The campus turned into bright yellow field as all the students were in yellow attire and many of them were dressed up as sunflower, Sun, Banana, Corn, Smileys, Mango, Owl, The Minions, Butterfly Etc.
The Nursery kids were happy to make a collage work of mango with bits of yellow paper. By this activity they were introduced to yellow color which always represent brightness and warmth.
There was a different activity Junior KG kids. They were taken out for a nature walk showing them all the yellow things on their way like The Sun, Yellow fruits, Yellow flowers and dry yellow leaves. They collected yellow flowers and yellow fruits on their way.
Cutting of various objects like The Sun, Sunflower, tweety, mango, banana, Corn were on the ground and the kids were asked to identify them. The junior KG students also colored the dogs yellow with finger prints. The entire class was decorated with each individuals work.
Senior KG students to recognize yellow colour they did handprints on chart paper and pasted on the walls individually with their names. They were also taken out for a hot summer walk.
Playgroup, Nursery, Junior KG, Senior KG all the children were given a banana treat to introduce the alphabet “B” for banana. They were demonstrated how to peel banana and throw the peel in the dustbin.
