Matru Puja – Organized by ASIS (Pre-Primary)

“God couldn’t be everywhere, so he made Mothers!”

Indian culture lays a lot of emphasis on the deep emotional bond between mothers and children. Keeping in line with this thought, playhouse students of Amarjyoti Saraswati International School (Pre-Primary) performed a ‘Matru Puja’ – reciting verses in Sanskrit and performing rites in the traditional way, where they had seek their blessings for all their future endeavours.

A serene, spiritual, somber and emotional atmosphere was created during the ‘Matru Puja’. The children were taught about the benefits of giving due respects to their elders/parents. The faces of the children and their mothers were beaming with joy throughout the puja. As it was the first day of Navratri, the children and their mothers enjoyed playing garba after the puja.
