Unity in Diversity means oneness in the varieties and India is the best country proving this concept for many years. It focuses on the existence of unity even after lots of differences of culture, social, physical, linguistic, religious, political, ideological, psychological etc. People in India are united in spite of the much diversity of races, religions, castes, sub castes, communities, languages and dialects. Unity in Diversity concept in India, gives everyone a strong message that living together with love and harmony provides the real essence of life and this is what we all in Amarjyoti Saraswati International School tried to teach our students through an English Speech Competition on the topic “UNITY IN DIVERSITY”.
The Speech Competition was celebrated with great gusto and enthusiasm by the students of Junior KG. To reinforce the topic being done in EVS, the students were given a state of India to speak for. They came fully clad in the traditional dress of that state along with the popular food and handicrafts. Each one was given an opportunity to articulate a few lines on the state they represented. It was remarkable to see how the students spoke so confidently and assertively. The attire that they came dressed in looked simply amazing as they collectively displayed an array of colours that describes the diversity of India. Overall it was an interactive and informative day.
