ISA activity – Heritage Walk

“Culture and Heritage play an important role in the life of children.  A good way to pass the values of heritage to future generations is by organising heritage walks.” Amarjyoti Saraswati International School Pre-Primary organized such a Heritage walk on 10th Jan’2020 for Senior KG kids. Every community and society has a very precious heritage which has to be and can be transferred to the next generation. It aims to create an awareness among the little citizens of Bhavnagar about areas of historical importance.

The kids were taken to ‘Nilambagh palace’ and ‘Victoria Park’. The students were given detailed information about the places. An oath was undertaken by our children “I am proud of the rich culture and heritage of India. I will respect all monuments which are a part of my country’s heritage. I will not scribble, deface or encroach upon any monument. The students conveyed the messages like “Save our Heritage”, “Save our historical monuments”, “Heritage is our identity”. The walk was an enriching experience for all as it helped in developing the minds of our young children into becoming sensitive, responsible and progressive citizen.
