Expression – Ganesh Chaturthi, Senior KG

Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday (rebirth) of Lord Ganesha, the son of  Lord Shiva and Parvati. It is believed that Lord Ganesha bestows his presence on earth for all his devotees during this festival.

Ganesha Chathurthi was Celebrated in Amarjyoti Saraswati International School (Pre-Primary Section) on September 17, 2016.  It began with a Ganesha Stuti and Aarti followed by song, dance and drama by Senior KG Macaw, Flamingo and Eagle students, and a recital of shlokas in Sanskrit.

A skit based on Ganesha’s Childhood was staged.  The skit gave a strong message to the students that parents are equal to god.

The students also performed the dance with lazium.

It  was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and fun. The children not only prayed to Lord Ganesha but also sang and danced to the tunes of  ‘Ganpati Bappa Moriya’.
