Scouting is all about building confidence and self-esteem, learning important life skills and leadership skills, team building, outdoor adventure, education, and fun! Scouts learn how to make good choices and to take responsibility for their actions so that they are prepared for their adult life as independent persons.

Three days scouts and guides camp was organized in the Campus of ASIS group of schools from 14th October’19 to 16th October’19.

We had 150 scouts as the participants drawn from Amar Jyoti Saraswati International School and Silver Bells Public School respectively, coming under the umbrella of Bhavnagar District. Team of four Hindustan Scouts named Mr. Dhawal Modi, Mr. Jaydeep Chauhan, Mr. Shubham Patel, and Mr. Nilesh Rathod along with the core team of Scouts masters Mr. Sachin Nimbark , Mr. Digvijaysinh Rathod and Ms. Pooja Raj Purohit, who escorted these 150 scouts to this camp.

There was a valedictory closing ceremony on the 16th evening in the presence of distinguished chief guest Capt.Kiritsinhji Gohil [Managing Director of ASIS group of Schools], the most revered venue principal Mr. Chakrapani Estarla and camp director Mr. Rajendrasinh Gohil.

The scouts and guides children showcased various activities which they had learned during the camp like – Petrol Division, adventure activities, rope climbing, net crawling, Commando Bridge, bricks walk, drama, dance, scouting theory, prayers, whistle song, promise test, malnath trekking, no fire cooking, etc. Mr. Dhawal Modi had an upright interaction wherein the Scouts and the parents got their doubts clarified with regard to their further progress in the movement. On the basis of the performance, 15 scouts were selected as Best Scouts under different parameters, followed by song and dance. They were felicitated with medals and certificates along with participation certificates to each scout.

The three days journey ended with a learning lesson for scouts, “Let us keep our mind open and be ready to learn throughout our life since life is learning and learning is life.”
