Constitution Day 26th November
A constitution is all about the various organs of the government and the relation between them. Our constitution also sets a limit on the powers of the government. It ensures a democratic system in which everyone enjoys certain rights. The constitution lists our fundamental rights and guides also how these rights are to be protected. This day is celebrated all over the nation to mark its importance and to create awareness.
Constitution day is also known as Samvidhan Diwas and is celebrated on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution. The Constituent Assembly adopted the constitution this day i.e. on 26th November in 1949 and came into effect on 26th of January 1950.
On this auspicious day of 26th November, this special day was celebrated in the premises of SBPS. A special assembly was organized by the students of the Arts stream under the special guidance of Political science subject expertise and the principal of the Silver Bells Public school Mr. Chakrapani Estarla.
The initiative was focused on creating awareness amongst the students and to tell them more about their fundamental rights and duties. An article was also presented for the students and help them know about the Directive Principles of the State policy. And finally, the speech by our principal sir was to ensure that the students were told about the initial efforts taken by our national heroes to frame this constitution of our country which is with a lot of pride called a Live Constitution. He further explained the directive principles and how they are different from the fundamental rights.
